Veloz is seeking an experienced and dedicated Scrum Master to join our team. As a Scrum Master you will serve a cross-functional team on Agile principles and ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will work closely with clients, end users, stakeholders, and team members to promote a culture of collaboration and transparency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Monitor: Oversees the entire Scrum process, ensuring it runs smoothly and adheres to the framework
- Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Leads Scrum ceremonies like Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinements, and Retrospectives
- Train and Mentor: Educates and guides team members on Agile/Scrum values, principles, practices, and processes. This empowers them to work effectively within the Scrum framework
- Interface with Client: Acts as a bridge between the Scrum team and the client, using oral and written communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Track and Report Metrics: Monitors and reports key Agile/Scrum metrics to stakeholders and leadership, providing data-driven insights into project progress and team performance
- Promote Team Culture: Nurtures a collaborative, communicative, and improvement-oriented environment within the Scrum team, fostering positive dynamics for optimal performance
- Remove Impediments: Identifies and resolves obstacles that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth workflow and project delivery
- High-Performance Environment: Fosters conditions that enable the team to achieve high performance and deliver high-quality work on time
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Must pass background investigation and U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Expertise in managing Jira and Confluence
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies such a Scrum, Kanban, and XP practices
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Experience supporting Government contracts
